Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

Futbal collects as little personal data as possible. This policy describes what is processed and why.

No accounts or cookies

The service does not have user accounts, and it does not use cookies, advertising or other technologies that store information on your device or follow you across websites.

Visitor statistics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits. It records the page viewed, the referring page, the device type, browser, operating system and country, as well as some actions on the site (for example changing the language or a statistics tab). Umami does not use cookies or store anything on your device, and it does not identify you: visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier that changes regularly, and your IP address is not stored.

The statistics are used only to understand how the service is used and to improve it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in developing the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Umami Software processes the data on our behalf, and the statistics are kept for six months.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers record technical information about each request: IP address, time, requested page, referring page and browser information (user agent).

The logs are used only to operate the service, to investigate errors and to protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.

Feedback form

When you send a message with the feedback form, we store the type and text of the message, your email address if you choose to give it, the page you came from, the language of the site and the time. To prevent spam, we also store a one-way hash of your IP address, from which the address itself cannot be read.

The messages are used only to develop the service and to reply to you if you gave an email address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in receiving feedback (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Messages are kept only as long as they are needed for this and then deleted.

Sharing of data

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. The service is hosted by a hosting provider that processes the data on our behalf. Data may be disclosed to authorities when required by law.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to object to its processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland, the supervisory authority is the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
